New paper about larval development of Callanthias platei

Our most recent paper is out!
And thanks to the amazing visual work of Francisca Zavala-Muñoz, who described with detail the early development and ossification of the splendid perch Callanthias platei, endemic of Juan Fernandez archipelago.

She also did a wonderful job with the double staining of the specimens, in order to describe its ossification.

All the specimens were collected during the CIMAR projects 22 and 23, grant to Claudia Bustos and Mauricio Landaeta. The specimens were deposited at the Museo Nacional de Historia Natural de Chile (MNHN-CL).
