Durante la tercera semana de agosto de 2017, Javier Vera-Duarte y Yanara Figueroa estuvieron visitando las pozas intermareales de Rapa Nui, en un sector cercano a Vaihu y en Hanga Roa, tratando de encontrar al cada vez más interesante paroko, Kelloggella disalvoi, un góbido intermareal capaz de soportar la desecación fuera de la poza, endémico de la isla.
During the third week of August 2017, Javier Vera-Duarte and Yanara Figueroa were visiting the intertidal pools of Rapa Nui, in a location near Vaihu and in Hanga Roa, trying to find the interesting goby Kelloggella disalvoi (paroko, in Rapa language), which is a fish capable to resist desecation off the water.

Otros habitantes frecuentes de las pozas son juveniles de Kuhlia nutabunda / Other frequent inhabitants of the intertidal pools are the flagtail Kuhlia nutabunda.
El coral más frecuente de encontrar es Pocillopora sp. / The most frequent coral is Pocillopora sp.
Finalmente, se aprovechó de tomar datos de temperatura con dos Tidbits en las pozas por 2-3 días completos, para establecer la variación de temperatura entre el día y la noche. Esta recolección de datos coincidió con un periodo inusualmente frío / Finally, temperature data were collected with two Tidbit units in two intertidal pools during 2-3 full days, in order to quantify the temperature varations between day and night. This collection coincided with an ununsual cold period.
