LABITI participa en la XI Reunión de Ictiología de Chile / LABITI participates at the XI Chilean Ichthyology Reunion

La jornada del jueves 21 de enero 2016 estuvo marcada por un emotivo recuerdo del Dr. Roberto Meléndez. En esta nueva reunión, organizada por la Universidad de Concepción, Concepción, Chile, el Laboratorio de Ictioplancton (LABITI) participó en 3 exposiciones orales.

During the XI Chilean Ichthyology Reunión, on Thusday 21 January 2016, we remember the late Dr. Roberto Meléndez, prominent Chilean ichthyologist. This new reunión was held at Universidad de Concepción, Concepción, Chile, and the Laboratorio de Ictioplancton (LABITI) participates in three oral expositions.

Valentina Nowajewski expuso el trabajo "Crecimiento y mortalidad larval del tramboyo, Auchenionchus crinitus (Labrisomidae) inferida por microestructura de otolitos durante invierno de 2014 en una zona costera de Antofagasta, norte de Chile", que es parte de su tesis de biología marina.

 

Valentina Nowajewski make a lecture entitled "Larval growth and mortality of labrisomid blenny Auchenionchus crinitus (Labrisomidae) inferred by otolith microstructure, during austral Winter 2014 in a coastal zone off Antofagasta, northern Chile" which is part of her graduate thesis.

 

 

Gissella Castillo-Hidalgo presentó el trabajo "Heterogeneidad ambiental de la columna de agua en la XI Región sur y su efecto en el ictioplancton marino de la Patagonia Chilena", que corresponde a resultados del proyecto CIMAR 20F 14-09.

 

Gissella Castillo-Hidalgo presented the work "Environmental heterogeneity of the water column at the XI south Region, and their effect on the marine ichthyoplankton of the Chilean Patagonia", which is part of the results of the Project CIMAR 20F 14-09.

 

 

María José Ochoa participó con el trabajo titulado "Distribución y estrategias de alimentación de larvas de Auxis spp. y su relación con remolinos de mesoescala en el Golfo de California", que formó parte de su tesis de Maestría en el CICIMAR, México.

 

María José Ochoa participates with the oral exposition "Distribution and feeding strategy of Auxis spp. larvae and its relation with eddies in the Gulf of California", which is part of her Master thesis at CICIMAR, Mexico.



 

Con el team LABITI + Francisca Osorio, estudiante de biología marina de la Universidad de Valparaíso, galardonada con el premio al mejor trabajo de pregrado en Ictiología 2016.

 

With the LABITI team plus Francisca Osorio, marine biology graduate student at the Universidad de Valparaíso, which obtained the best exposition at the graduate level in Ichthyology 2016.
