During the samplings in intertidal pools from the rocky nearshore of Rapa Nui (Easter Island), the most recurrent species was the goby Kelloggella disalvoi Randall, 2009, a small fish called paroko in the Rapa language, which is able to resist high temperatures in the tidal pools during low tide, and maintain off water for several seconds when escaping from potential predators (Mauricio Landaeta, pers. obs.). The sampled individuals ranged between 16.6 and 26.4 mm SL.

CIMAR 21-I 15-05: Juveniles y adultos de paroko, Kelloggella disalvoi
En los muestreos de pozas intermareales del litoral rocoso de Rapa Nui, uno de las especies más frecuentes de recolectar, fue el paroko, Kelloggella disalvoi Randall, 2009, un pequeño pez góbido que es capaz de resistir altas temperaturas en las pozas durante la marea baja y poder resistir fuera del agua por algunos segundos cuando escapa de potenciales depredadores (Mauricio Landaeta, obs. pers.). Los individuos recolectados variaron entre 16,6 y 26,4 mm LE.
